Typical responsibilities

• Complete pre-use checks within your training and site responsibilities.
• Operate authorised equipment within its limits and the agreed lifting arrangements.
• Follow agreed signals and maintain clear communication with the lifting team.
• Move and position loads in a controlled manner.
• Report defects and stop operations where conditions are unsafe.
• Follow site procedures for parking, securing and handing over equipment.

Experience and qualifications

Relevant operator training and evidence of competence for the equipment concerned are required. Equipment-specific familiarisation and site authorisation may also be necessary.

Please state your experience with pendant, radio remote and cab controls, together with the crane types and capacities you have operated. This registration covers overhead and gantry cranes. Mobile, crawler and other equipment categories must be assessed separately.
